A Casual Day At Zurich

30 May

A Day @Zurich “Switzerland”

I was fliping my photo files, and i just missed Zurich so damn much ! so, i thought of sharing ^_^ … a casual day at Zurich … enjoy😉

No ! we were not on a plane ! that’s a cafe designed as the Swiss Airlines near by our hotel, we thought of grabbing a treat & a morning coffe since we missed the early breakfast bouffe back in the hotel ^_^

i think its called Vings as the Swiss airlines

we left the cafe and went for a walk just enjoying the beautiful weather

I love taking bicycle pictures its like my thing ^_^

you dont need to wear a watch in Zurich, Everytime you look up there are the famous clocks

arround the shopping rue

this si so weird a day before i bought some candles so similar to those i found in Home Centre and i was surprised that i captured those 2 years ago

That is the roses candle i got from Home Centre

and i saw something very similar too at LifeStyle the other day

i popped the minute i saw Zeena on the disply window as if i saw an old friend❤

we stopped for a lunch at a cozy chiness resturant

some random captures on the street

a margarita pizza

who knows me well knows that i have a thing for magazine covers, i think my blog does reflect that pretty well, i take magazine covers shoots from book shops everytime i see one. That was the captures of the day

we stopped by to buy some desserts souvenirs;and I thought these were " Macroons" but the bakery lady told me that ” they are called " Luxemburgerli, it’s a brand name of confectionery made by the Confiserie Sprüngli in Zürich, Switzerland. They have a top and bottom sugar-based confection with a center cream filling. Basically Luxemburgerli is a mini marcoons, but smaller ,lighter and about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter”.

that is how the box looks like

Luxemburgerli were invented by the confectioner Camille Studer who brought the recipe to Zürich after creating them in a Luxembourg confectionery shop (Confiserie Namur) in 1957. There, the recipe was refined for a confectionery contest. The name Luxemburgerli is derived from the nickname which a colleague bestowed on Studer, whose family originated in Luxembourg. The original name, Baiser de Mousse (foam kiss in French), perceived as appropriate for the new creation, was changed to Gebäck des Luxemburgers (“Luxemburger’s confection”) which became, in Swiss German, Luxemburgerli (“little Luxembourger”).

other desserts were on disply at the bakery shop

grabbing a treat at a random cafe underground

at the end of the day we went back the hotel and chilled at the hotel lounge. its very cozy and rustic. Loved it

this fresh apple juice is the best on earth

that is all folks , Nighty❤
