The prices range from $9,000 to $150,000 which is around( 33,000 aed to 550,000 aed ), it depends on the type of the materials,colors,hardware fixtures and skins.

The Story Behind The Birkin Bag :
It all started back in 1981 when the Hermès chief executive Jean-Louis Dumas was seated next to Jane Birkin on a flight from Paris to London. She was carrying a straw bag which had been captured with so many times.She was just about to place her straw bag in the overhead compartment of her seat but before she knew it fell on the floor leaving her her to scramble to replace her contents back in the bag.She explained to Dumas how it’s so difficult to find a traveling weekend leather bag that she really likes. In 1984, Dumas created a black supple leather bag to her ” the Birkin bag” inspired by what she told him and based on an 1892 design.
قصة تسميتها بالبركن :
في سنة 1981 يحكى ان المغنية جين بركن كانت مسافرة من باريس الى لندن خلال نهاية الاسبوع . وصدف انها جلست بجوار الرئيس التنفيدي لبوتيك “إغمس” جيين لوي دوماس . حيث جين كانت تحمل حقيبة من القش ” كانت محببة لها جدا و صورت مرات عدة وهي تحملها” .و قبل اقلاع الطائرة حاولت ان تضع حقيبة يدها في صندوق الامتعة اعلى مقعدها لكنها سقطت و تناثرت محتوياتها. فإشتكت لدوماس عن مدى صعوبة اقتناء حقيبة يد مريحة للسفر خصوصا في فترة نهاية الاسبوع. في عام 1984 صمم دوماس حقيبة مستلهمة مما قالته بركن خلال الرحلة ومأخوذ من تصميم لحقيبة صمم عام 1892 من قبل نفس الماركة ” اغمس” و اهديت لجين بركن بعد تكريمها بتسمية الحقيبة بإسمها .
